Got to Vancouver Sunday afternoon and spent a few days rehearsing with the band in North Van, and spent the week staying with A-team & Des. Went into the studio Wednesday to hang out with Erik and lay down some saxophone for the new Rich Hope recordings. Spent Thursday at Sean's shop in Maple Ridge getting more work done (so itchy right now!!) and met up with A-team, Des & Amy at Chronic Taco that evening, where we ran into Condor, who I ended up going downtown with to see Feldman's son's band play. Awesome, awesome show.
Friday Rude City Riot played the Cellar on Grandville Ave. It was a really fun show, we played a lot of the new material we've been working lately. After the show I ended up hanging out in the airport all night waiting for my early morning flight home for some family business & spent a few days at home. Left yesterday morning and met up with the band in Kamloops where we got to play Pogue Mahone's again. It's been a few years since we were there last. Fun night, the other bands were great. The first was a cat from Vernon who played a great set of music by himself and a bunch of loop-effects, goes by the name Windmills. The second band was really good too, VanDamsel they were called. Great songs, killer musicians, and fun guys to hang out with.
Now we're on our way to Camore to play the next couple of nights at the Drake. Always a great stage to play, I'm excited about having a day tomorrow without travel. I can't remember the last time I stayed in the same place for longer than 24 hours.
