Victoria BC

Got back to Vancouver Tuesday afternoon after a few month's absence, I forgot how beautiful this city is. And how rainy. Rehearsed Tuesday night at NAL, then Wednesday at our jam space. Went for sushi with A-team followed by beer & pool followed by Chron Tox with Amy. Spent Friday morning wandering around UBC campus (I also forgot how beautiful that campus is), then headed back to Danagement's for a quiet evening of sweet FA.

Left for the ferry early Saturday morning, spent the next few hours with a corner-store mending-kit sewing the right sleeve of my leather jacket back together. Got to Victoria and immediately took everyone to Big Bad John's, then split with Luis and Dusty to "My Bar" to hit a blues jam hosted by a friend of Dusty's old man. Played with the house-band, it was good to get some air running through my horn before the show that night.

We played for the Victoria Ska Society as part of a membership drive at an artist's studio in the industrial area. Lots of fun, it was great to see Sara and Dane again.  Show was really fun, and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. Lots of dancing, Victoria is awesome.

Back to Commercial the next afternoon, and back to UBC to spend the evening watching movies at A-team's! Just got back from shopping & sushi with DL3. Going with him tomorrow as he gets more ink done by Sean, then we'll spend the next few days writing more new songs & hornlines. Rehearsal Wednesday, and the Toasters Friday! Can't wait!
