Sitting in a coffee shop in downtown Tampa, killing time before heading back to the airport to fly back to Vancouver.
Friday's show at Full Sail University in Orlando was a lot of fun. We played a longer set than usual (75 min) and had everything filmed for us. It was a nice change to play on a full 90' stage. During our set a painter set up his easel on the side of the hall and painted an interpretation of our music to give to us after. Right after Full Sail we drove to Tampa to play another set that night at New World Brewery. Great bands, and one of the funnest shows we've done yet.
Slept all morning the next day and headed off for Cape Coral in the afternoon. Met up with Andy Jeter again and had our first Golden Coral experience. Awesome. Too much food, and way too much rain, and we finally made it back to our hotel.
Made it down to Rack 'Em Billiards and had my first game of darts in way too long. Andrew & his staff are amazing, we were treated like gold. All the other bands that night were awesome.
Up late-morning Saturday and drove back to Orlando. Checked out some of Disney World & ate at Dan Aykroyd's House of Blues. Went to a giant outdoor outlet shopping-mall and spent the evening fighting heat-exhaustion or sun-stroke or something. Early to bed, early to rise, up this morning at 5 am to drop off Dusty, Stefan, & Peter at the Orlando airport. Had breakfast after at the Waffle House just outside of Tampa. Don't know what's happening with our tour-schedule the next couple weeks, might not play again until our September tour across Canada.
