Flew in last night with DL3 and went straight to Shogun for a quick sushi fix. Have I mentioned running the Skytrain to the airport might be the coolest thing Vancouver has ever done? Rehearsed with the Rude City Riot squad at NAL, then hit Toby's with Jeremy to see his friends play. Sat in with the band and played with another saxophonist, my friend Robbie from Edmonton I haven't seen for a few years. Great running into him again!
Up super early this morning at the crack of 8 a.m. to grab breakfast with Jeremy and make CiTR FM for 10. Food didn't happen, had to settle for two Teens at the Dub. Played a set on-air at 11 on Ska-T's show. Awesome guy, legendary ska DJ. I'll see him again tonight at the English Beat show at Commodore!
Just came from dropping off posters and picking up gear rentals, sitting in Starbucks with Dan (the "Danagement") waiting for load-in at 5. Excited for tonight, especially after all that Flavio's told me about playing that room. Pretty nervous, pretty excited. Stoked to see the English Beat again!
