I'm sitting at the Greyhound station downtown Calgary. Flew out of Vancouver this morning, but had to take a later flight. A later flight meant I missed my connection to make it to Edmonton tonight in time to make a jazz gig. So instead, I'm here. The burgers at the Calgary Greyhound station by the way might just be the worst on the planet. And, my bank is being weird and won't let me take out my money for some reason. So I'm tired and (for the time being) broke and in limbo 300 km from home. Still, it was a great weekend.
Hung out in Vancouver the last few days. Went to the beach, saw Paymon (from Uptown Riots) at the Chop Shop and got a trim (white-walls), and played Railway Club with Skavenjah! I love those guys. They played terrific, I haven't seen them since the Mad Bomber Society / Skavenjah show a few years ago in Regina. They might be my favourite band right now. And it was Alex from Class Action's last day in town, so he came down and caught us again.
That was the third show with Rude City Riot this week, and the last for July. We play the 1st of August I think, Shambhala is coming up soon, and after my birthday (the 15th) it looks like we'll do a few college dates.
