Tim from Tofino came to town Friday!! He wasn't in long, he's on his way to Ottawa to see family, but it was awesome to see him. He came down and met Lacey and I at Malones almost at the same time as Erik. After Lacey's shift they took me down to the Cambie. Best bar yet, reminds me of the Strat in Edmonton.
Back to Lacey & Erik's, again, for more It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, again, and stayed behind to Skype and sleep while they went to see Faster Pussycat at Rio.
Woke up Saturday, transported all of my bags to the soon-to-be-new digs in Lacey's van "Shamu" (when Noga and I went up to Tofino to hang out with Lacey and Tim, we drove back to Edmonton in that van) and the three of us plus Jeremy went garage-sale hunting on our way to Bon's on Broadway for b-fast.
Made it to the Bourbon early to sound-check before the show and grab me some sweet sweet cheap Vancouver pizza slice. The show went well, Michael from our most recent recording played his first gig with us. That cat can play!!
We were opening for Red Eye Empire for their CD-release show. Wicked band, they were solid. Check out their MySpace! www.myspace.com/redeye29records
It was Scott's birthday! We all hung out at the Bourbon all night, after last call we walked to a 24-hour McDonald's (how delicious is McDick's when you're off your face?) and went back to Lacey and Erik's. Again.
Fun night, can't wait until Thursday to play the Slackers' show at the Rickshaw Theatre! Until then, resume job-hunting party. Anybody want to hire a bartender from Alberta?
