Edmonton AB

Safe and sound back home on Whyte Avenue after a long 9-day stretch of Vancouver couch surfing. And a short 9-day stretch of playing and recording and all-around living my dream. Back to the real world, with routine and jobs. (I'm actually at work right now. I snuck my laptop behind the bar, don't tell.)

Saturday morning I slept in for the 6th day in-a-row, giving me a perfect 0-6 for making the studio in the morning on time. Laid down the rest of the saxophone tracks, Scott ripped a guitar solo over Same Old Story, and the band sang all the gang-vocals. Awesome experience at Nimbus, and with Alex. Strong work, Alex. 10%.

Left the studio after midnight, and up the next morning at 7 to make YVR to fly home. Had big plans to go out and see everybody Sunday, but laying down in my bed for the first time in 10 days changed my mind. I love bed.

Alex sent the rough mixes of the three songs we cut this afternoon. I'm excited for the masters.

Back home in Edmonton, where it's 20 degrees colder and there's still snow everywhere. I forgot it was still winter. I'm currently plotting my move to the coast. Anybody in Vancouver looking to hire a saxophone playing bartender? Bartending and playing saxophone are the only two skill sets I possess. Oh, I'll need time off to tour.
